No-Reply Account for sending email

Hello,

is it possible to create an email account, who can send emails via SMTP but are not allowed to recieve mails?

I want to use this kind of account, to create an no-reply email address for some webapps.

Hi All,

I am new on this forum site, the company that I am working for is using Zimbra for our Company Email. I have few questions:

1. Does Zimbra works on blackberry 10? I was using a blackberry with os 7 before, I didn't have problems accessing my mails there, when I switch phones my zimbra account can't be setup for some reasons.

2. If Zimbra is not compatible, is there a way that all emails coming from zimbra will automatically be forwarded to my Gmail account?

We do not have a desktop client to access zimbra, we are typing a url (mail.CompanyName.cc/Zimbra). please enlighten me on these question and if possible help me fix this.

Hi,

The folder list on the left of the ajax web interface shows 1 mail in Junk, but there's nothing there. "Empty junk" doesn't clear it either.

This mailbox is access from the web client, and via IMAP from an iPhone, and I can't see it on the phone either.

Any ideas gratefully received!

New Zimbra user..help me set some things up?

My company runs zimbra and we usually connect to it through webmail which is vmware zimbra on the top of the page. I also have my mail on my android phone. I would like to do the following things and could use some assistance on how to set things up to allow this to work as I want:


- I would like to be able to add tasks in zimbra and then see them through some to-do app on android, ipad , and thunderbird app.

IS there an easy way to configure all this?

LDAP not starting after server move

Hi,

We did the following:
a. clone the original zimbra server after machine shutdown
b. assign new public/local ips to the new replicated machine

Getting the following error on zmcontrol start:
Failed to start slapd. Attempting debug start to determine error.
bind(7) failed errorno=99 ( Cannot assign requested address)
slap_open_listener: failed on ldap://<domain>:389

Searching on forums suggested to fix /etc/hosts file, which I did to have entry for new public ip and then performed a restart on the machine, still no luck. Suggestions most welcome please.

Calendar Reminders stops popping up after number of days

Hi all-
I'm curious to know if others have run into this or not. We've been observing calendar reminders disappearing after being snoozed for a while or after several days. Usually a logout and login occurs between the snooze and/or the several days. This is quite difficult to deal with because missing reminders causes issues with missing events (like paying bills). Has anyone else observed this? Are there some restrictions or limitations with the reminder system defined anywhere and I just haven't come across it yet?

Add a new filter option "Mark thread as" read

I use filters a lot, in order to classify my incoming mails. Particurarly, I use filter to classify Redmine incoming mails (mail about ticket progress).

These mails are well handled as threads. Typical case is that the last mail in a thread is an update of this ticket to a Closed state. I already detect this state update with a filter. The best rule I can apply to this filter is "Mark this mail as " read. What I would like is a new filter rule, allowing to mark the whole thread as read.

I understand that thread is a high level view of mails, but maybe someone could think on a smart way to do that.

How to open text attachments in WebMail?

This site came up first in Google when I entered WebMail Forums. Perhaps it is wrong.
I am forced to use WebMail due to problems with email and my site. Text files that used to come in with the suffix .doc that easily opened now come in with the suffix .webloc and when I click on they merely open another screen of WebMail. If I delete all of the suffix up to: .doc (so it looks just like what I usually receive on my desktop), I get the message "file format invalid."
How should writers be sending their files or how can I open them using WebMail?

About Out of office setting

I just using Zimbra for one month and I have a question on the out of office setting.
In my company, managers can also recieve all the email which send to their team members.

For example, in christmas we have send a gerneral holiday autoreply for all the staff in my company.

My email setting is:
account: staff1@123.com
aliases: chan.jason@123.com -> company_abc
distribution: company_abc -> staff1@123.com, manager1@123.com, staff2@123.com

The problem is when client send an email to chan.jason@123.com , the client will receive three autoreply (staff1, manager1 and staff2)

I just want the client receive only the autoreply from staff1, please advise.

Forwarding email using another mailbox as FROM address.

It seems if you try and forward (and possibly reply) to certain HTML emails or emails with attachments from a different email address than the one that received the message it can cause the error "No such message exists"

The email in question was a HTML formatted email addressed to user2@mydomain where I wanted to forward it someone using my personal address.

user2@mydomain is a shared mailbox which I have access to as well as permissions to send as, by changing the from address in the compose window firstly HTML formatting seems to get lost, secondly zimbra may create attachments for any images that were embedded.

Then when trying to send the "No Such message exists" error is displayed.

I did hit the send error report button and I was going to file a bug But I'm not sure if I'm doing a good enough job of describing the problem in such a way the Devs would be able to try and repdroduce it.

Version 8.06GA, using Chrome on windows and OSX not tested other browsers yet

A month ago we migrated from ZCS 8.0.4 (on Ubuntu 10.04) to 8.0.4 (on Ubuntu 12.04.3) and applied the upgrade to ZCS 8.0.6.

From there on we have a strange behaviour:

If a user prints a message (without opening it in a new tab first), everything is fine. But if the user first opens the message and then wants to print the message, the message text is malconfigured:

From field: empty
Subject field: empty
text is fine
attachments like logos are added as jpeg-text like this:

Printing the message without opening it, the message to print is opened like this:

Unable to Reply / Reply All / Forward in search results view....

I've searched here and Bugzilla and can't find anything similar, can't believe it's just me. In the new search results view, I'm unable to Reply, Reply All, Forward, etc, either via the buttons at the top of the results, or the right-click menu. I have to double-click an email to bring it up in a popup window and work there. It's starting to bug me now though. Happens in both Firefox and Chrome, haven't tried anything else yet. Anyone else seeing this? This is an install that was migrated to a new server relatively recently, as the previous one was running 32 bit CentOS, and thus Zimbra 7.2; if that's relevant.

hi my provider for business solutions sent me a fax via mail, i need to sent this fax to other destinations with my email.

eg. olimontel fax server sent me an email like number (at) olimontel.com
i need to receive this mail with attached and forward it to another email like rome (at) myname.com

olimontel fax server sent me an email with other text inside i need to sent this mail to my colleague and customer without olimontel text but with my text and my mail...

i can receive on my mail 100 different mail number, and we forward the pdf attached to different mail

eg. 02123456 (at) olimontel.it fwd>>> to mail1 (at) myname.com and mail2 (at) xxxxxx.com

06123456 (at) olimontel.it fwd>>> to mail33 (at) myname.com and milano (at) xxxxxx.com

in the forwarded mail there should be no trace of olimontel mail server and other....

Save replies in the folder of the message being replied to

Does anyone know if there is an option or a zimlet that can be used to place replies in the folder of the message being replied to ?

I have a number of filters running, moving messages to folders when they arrive in the inbox, but when I reply to the message from the folder, the reply is saved in the sent items folder. Is there a way to automatically save the reply in the same folder as the original message?

Hello.

How can I show the email folder list or the zimlet list when I search.

When I search for email the search menu is going to the left and replacing the folder list.

If I want to move (drag and drop) a email to a different folder or to a zimlet for download that is not possible.

Any way I can fix this?

Request: Notes function on Emails

I would love to see a function where I could attach a note to an email in my inbox. For instance, I could right-click on an email to show a 'make note' button, and write myself a short note about actions / ideas / thoughts related to the email. Similar to a tag, but would not have to manage each new note as a new tag.

eg. "responded by phone on DATE"
or "Brilliant Idea!"
