Outlook 2007 sending email 587 TLS problem

Hello all,

I have my first ZCS server running. ( I hope this is the right forum/thread)
One account works via webmail, zimbra desktop and thunderbird.
When I want to send a mail from Outlook (account set up as IMAP with SMTP to the public address of the ZCS server port 587 with TLS encryption)
I cannot send mail from outlook.
in zimbra.log it gives me:
Sep 26 11:52:06 mail postfix/smtpd[9341]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from <public address of outlook pcs internet connection>[111.111.111.111]: 554 5.7.1 <public address of outlook pcs internet connection>[111.111.111.111]: Client host rejected: Access denied; from=<coert@zcsdomain.co.za> to=<weer@completelydifferentdomain.co.za> proto=ESMTP helo=<laptop's windows hostname>

In the admin console I disabled under Global Settings the reject_non_fqdn_sender check, but no difference.

From thunderbird and zimbra desktop and zimbra webmail, I do not have this problem..

Search doesn't include attached file

Does any one knows what I need to do to include a attached content in search?

In company we send many files "excel - xls and xlsx" for suppliers and is very important to us include them when we search for references sent to they.

Future of briefcase / Octopus

There is no information for Zimbra customers about the future of Briefcase vs Octopus, nor how it will affect them and their deployments.

Paying customers need to make long-term plans, and expect at least a solid indication of whether major features will continue to be available.

Please can VMWare set-out for your users (here or in a blog post) whether:

1) is briefcase is being deprecated, and scheduled for removal in Zimbra 9?

2) is Octopus going to provide a drop-in replacement for briefcase?

3) will Octopus be available for opensource users?

4) will Octopus be available and installable for basic Zimbra Network or opensource users (i.e. those who have a single installation, who don't want or need Horizon etc...)

5) if so, will Octopus be an extra cost on top of the current Zimbra licence?

6) will Octopus be installable within/with Zimbra, or will it require a separate hosting environment?

7) will Zimbra tags and email attachments be shared/shareable with Octopus?

Zimbra 8 - Images with signatures

Again maybe I have missed a configuration option but I see no way of adding images to signatures ? TinyMCE does allow you to upload an image to the briefcase and use that but most users would have the respect image store on a web server or delivered via CDN.

I forgot my password from my institucional e-mail accout (from Facultad de Psicología Universidad de la República) I had re-direct my email from that account to my gmail account so I usually don`t login from the official intitucional web site, now when I try to login from the there Zimbra opens a new window where i can't do nothing with out my pasword, I don´t get my email as normal in my gmail account and i can't migrate my mail.
can some body please help me is really urgent.

Junk Mails Not Reciveing in MS Outlook

Help! I really hope someone can offer some advice. Zimbra based email.

About 12-15 times a day I received emails that are titled " From: Mail Delivery System <mailer-daemon@comcast.net>
Subject: Delivery status notification". It looks like a bounced email from me and the receiver of the the message is always the same: a made up email address "chaplinre@yahoo.com".

Attached to the bounced email in Mail Attachment form is a garbled up email from an actual sender who is trying to email me. The only thing in the attachement is code but I can see who was sending the email so I know if it's one of my clients/friends/etc.

Here is where Zimbra comes in: at the end of each of these mail attachments/garbled emails it says" X-Mailer: Zimbra 6.0.13_GA_2944

So the common denominator between all these messed up emails is that the sender is using Zimbra. So my question is: what can I do? Is this happening because of something set up in my email account? I know it's not a computer problem because it's happening on all of my computers.

I hope you can picture I described above. It's really becoming a huge problem.

Email sorting

I have recently been migrated to Zimbra from GroupWise and I am trying to figure out how to get Zimbra to sort my email similar to how I did it in GroupWise.

In GroupWise I had email rules (many of them) that would sort email based on a set of criteria (domain name, subject, etc .. ). I can do the same in Zimbra for the sorting (or filter) criteria, but it is the trigger that I am having difficulty with. It seems in Zimbra, the only trigger I have to work with is in-coming and out-going new mail. This makes it difficult for me since the filter runs at the server, new email gets sorted before it hits the inbox. This results in me not getting any notification on my Blackberry for new mail as well as the parent folder having no indication there is a new message in a child folder. In GroupWise I could choose different triggers, and I used one that ran the rules on client open as well as force run any time I wanted it to run. So through out the day, email would drop into my in box and stay there. My mobile device would get the notifications it needed. Then once I would restart the mail client, the rules would sort the mail into my customer folders for me.

This made it very easy to manage my inbox, and made searching customer folders easier for me as well. I would really like to get this kind of functionality back. Is there anything in the Zimbra Desktop Client (not always in online mode when I work in email) that I am missing that will let me change the trigger of a filter? or is there a Zimlet (that has not popped up in my searches) that will do this?

Book meeting from external list

Hi,

I have a list, in excel, of email adresses followed by a date for a meeting with them. Is there some way of automatically reading each line to generate meeting requests to that email and with the date specified? I have a list of approcimatelly 50 different emails with connected dates.

Apple IOS 6 and zimbra webmail

Hello,

I have some problems with IOS 6 ( safari ), using webmail from version 7.1.1.
The webpage is not loading i do not understand why exactly. Even if i go directly to the link the browser is not loading anything.
Is there somebody else with IOS 6 and webmail ( using https ), that can make a test and tell me if they have the same problem ?

How to set up calendars in 8.0

Hello,
I've got 8.0 demo installed and seems to be working fine with about 30 accounts. I need some instruction on how to set up multiple calendars. Can anybody refer me to that ?

Pinned search tab on Zimbra 8

Hi all, there's a way with Zimbra web gui to have a permanent tab with a saved search?
I see that when I make a search with a keyword a new tab is created, I have a "pinned" option in this tab but I can't understand what's the function as it disapear on my next login.

Anyone can explain me how it works?

Zimbra webclient on Firefox = peak CPU usage?

We notice that when users use firefox to access Zimbra webclient, firefox will peak CPU usage. This is worse if it's on Terminal Server when there are multiple users accessing Zimbra webclient with Firefox. Is this an issue with Firefox or Zimbra Advanced Mode? Anyone encounter similar issue and have some workaround?

External Account (Gmail) does not auto update in ZCS8 web client

Hi

I've upgraded to ZCS 8 (OSE) and am loving it! It's all come a long way, especially the web client. However, I've only 1 thing that's not working for me at the moment. I've added my Gmail account as an external account and it's all connected fine and I can see my emails. The problem is it doesn't update without me right-clicking the account and selecting 'Get external mail'.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem and is there a way around it please?

I've looked everywhere for an option for the check period and found one in 'Preferences -> Mail' which seems to work fine for my email that's being handled by ZCS but not for my external Gmail account. It's set to 5 minutes but no new emails come in unless I do the right-click mentioned above.

Problem with reminders calendar events

We have our own interface translation into the Czech language, which worked fine. After the update to version 7.2.1 we have a problem with setting an appointment reminder in calendar. Reminder time is displayed malformed:

If I select any reminder, the error "Reminder value is Greater than maximum value." occurs. If the switch to officially supported language, everything is fine.

There was some greater change in the language file? Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

User Sees mail Count in Draft Folder , But No Messages

A User Can see Count of Draft messages in the Draft Folder . But No messages in the same. All Messages saved as Draft are reported as saved and Count Increases , But No Messages can be seen in the folder. This is Zimbra OpenSource Version 8 on CentOS 6.3 X64

Send Later Feature in Zimbra 8

Hi,
Zimbra 7.2 had a Send Later feature. Does anyone know if the Send Later feature available in Zimbra 8? I don't see the feature under the Send button when composing a new message, which is where it was in Zimbra 7.2.

zimbra 8.0 and ajax e-mail issue

When running Ajax I can not compose a new e-mail nor reply but in HTML no issue just Ajax. I do not understand why zimbra 8.0 was put out without better testing of Ajax. I use zimbra 7.2 no issues in any browser with Ajax just zimbra 8.0 issue with browsers and functions like click on e-mail to compose a massage to send. I have tried in Opera and Firefox browser Can someone help? Thank You for your time.
